The HBO MailbagTuesday, January 27, 2004 Umm yeah quick question I'm hearing and seeing a lot on Halo PC but what about the game Halo2 there have been no updates fora while on that subject Is bungie trying to keep me in the dark, or are they building suspension to the game and releasing details only when convenient to keep people guessing? Even Xbox magazine hasn't posted anything which makes you think... Oh well I'm really not allowed to tell you this, but: Yes, Bungie is trying to keep you in the dark. You really shouldn't have TKed Sketch so many times. It was hard getting everyone on the forum not to mention all the new stuff, and getting your local bookstore to carry the alternate non-Halo-2 OXM edition, but man can he carry a grudge. Do you guys have a news server that e-mails people? If so what is the address Sadly, yes, we do have a news server that emails people. We don't know how to make it stop. The guy who set it up got fired (well, not so much "fired" as "broke into my liquor cabinet and then escaped") and we don't know where the emails are coming from. Nobody wants to go turn it off, because his office is nearly as "lived-in" as mine. If you know how to shut it down remotely, please give us a call. Hello,

Although, I can conclusively deduce that you are in fact simple. On the technical map of Master Chief there is a quote which is 'All your base are belong to us'. There was a game, at the time of the genesis, which was called 'Zero Wing'. It was in japanese, then a us version was made. It was translated so poorly, the company that made the game went bankrupt. I couldn't think of anyone here who matched your requirements for answering this email, so I gave it to my assistant and asked him to find someone around here who could make an educated guess. After a short nap, the reason for which I don't recall, I asked him how it was coming along. After a few unproductive exchanges, I demanded to know why he hadn't made any progress. Surely there was at least ONE person in Bungie.org who could leverage his experience watching Bungie into a realistic release date estimate. It was only when Louis, who was passing by, asked me who I was talking to, did I realize that I had not yet been assigned an assistant, and that I had given the email to (and was chewing out) one of the action figures festooning my desk. Having exhausted all other avenues of research, I was forced to let the buck stop at my desk, roll a few dice, and conclude that Halo 2 was coming out on February 63rd, 1481.
