On May 16, 2002, xbill posted on the HBO Forum:

I observed a very interesting maneuver by an angry Elite in a Banshee after luring two of them into the cave on Halo.

I tossed several plasma grenades at the nose of the Banshee he was in, and he snuffed them out!

I thought is was pretty funny, and kinda cool. It surprised me, too.

On May 19, 2002, Halo-Wannabe followed up, also to the HBO Forum:

LOL, I finally recorded the grenade snuffing in co-op mode by the MC, that I was talking aboiut. Sorry about the terrible quality of the movie... i don't have one of those fancy-schmancy capture cards, or whatever the heck it is that you guys use :(
Anyway notice that nobody takes any damage :) and that while player 1's viewscreen turns all greenish-blue, player 2 sees the phenomenon the same way that xbill saw it... which begs the question, Does the Elite see everything go bluish-green when xbill did it to him? (no wonder he screams...)
