It does have a nice voice, and it looks like you and everyone else already figured out that it is a little short.
The meter changes a lot (*I know, I know: shut up Flu*) but its nothing that couldn't be worked out.
I realize that these ideas probably just come to you out of nowhere, but the trick of a poet is to take that first inspiration and then drag the rest of the poem kicking and screaming out of that. Good luck.

Nice, but I don't think that it took a lot of thought, i.e i've seen some of your other stuff and this isn't quite as special. Good, though.
