They're fathers and brothers They're husbands and sons They're the men that make the Marines
They're sinners and feelers And thinkers and lovers They're the men that make the Marines
They're teachers and preachers And imperfect creatures They're the men that make the Marines
They're builders and makers They're fixers and healers They're the men that make the Marines
They're children and parents And the ones that make the world They're the men that make the Marines
They're learners and doers And they do their jobs well They're the men that make the Marines
They're spirits and bodies And blood and heart They're the men that make the Marines
They're soldiers and medics They're killers and fighters They're the men that make the Marines
They're leaders and followers Yet always humans they remain They're the men that make the Marines
Where'd we be without Our soldiers and leaders Our Marines?
Where'd we be if they weren't there To answer humanity's call to arms And sacrifice their lives in our defense?
Throwing themselves on the grenade Leaping in front of the enemy's attack They're ones that die alone—but never alone
They're the men that make the Marines They're the ones we never see die But we know they died for us
And that's what makes them Marines
  Semper Fidelis
