A Warning that this story might never have taken place in the Game HALO and it may not be true
A band of Covonate and human rebels... are these the forerunners of Halo?
A Covonate cruiser approached the damaged human vessel, "What are there vitals?" said the Capt of the cruiser.
A muffled voice of a grunt spoke "there are very little people still alive...".
"Very well..."said the elite as he stood up from his chair "bring them aboard and put them in the brig, maybe we can make a peace treaty with they soft skins".
A Covonate Stalker launched from the hanger, A Stalker is a special boarding craft made especially for boarding ships that are hurt or badly damaged. The Stalker screeched through the void of space to the damaged vessel. It reached the hull as sparks fell into the never-ending realm of space. The ships hull was being cut through as tiny micro plasma cutters went to work slashing madly at the bulk hull of the Corvette. The wall fell in words as Covonate flooded the corridors of the damaged Corvette. Human survivors were knocked out if they where conscious and dragged back into the Stalker, Some Humans resisted. Shots could be heard as a mini war broke out of the tiny Human vessel, the Covonate where winning. The death toll ended up as ten out of five hundred dead and only four Covonate grunts where killed...
"Status!" barked the elite Capt.
"We are on our way back Capt!" said a Jackle over the comm.
"Excellent..."said the elite "we need those soft skins on board in three minutes!"
The Stalker broke free from the hull leaving a huge gape of a hole making the Corvette launch debris into the depths of space.
The Stalker entered the hangar of the Covonate cruiser the force field went up locking in the oxygen in, necessary for survival of most known races the humans and Covonate knew about.
Two sword elites stood guard in the brig pacing from one end of the room to the other, one of the Humans woke up and started to scream. The elites ran to the cell and cursed at the soft skin. More soft skins woke up, screams could be heard through out the ship as more Humans awoke.
The Capt of the ship walked into the brig, the two guards saluted the Capt and came to the position known as attention to Humans. The Capt walked up to the cell where the Corvette Capt was held.
"Tell me Capt would u like to join our little charade?" the elite whispered to the Corvette Capt "I am Capt Salivary- and you are?"
"I will not tell u my name...scum" the Capt spat blood at the force field as he scuffed the ground moving to a corner where he sat for the next hour the alien Capt still watching him, "your very persistent" the Capt coughed as the blood dried in his mouth.
"With the likes of your kind... I guess I am " said Salivary "now... would u like to rot in this cell or make a peace treaty!" Salivary barked.
"With this hospitality I would say no...show me your vessel and clean me and my crew up and I will think about it" the Capt said with a small smirk on his face.
"Fine!" said Salivary "I will show you my ship and clean you soft skins up"
The Shield for the cell lowered as the Capt staggered to his feet and slowly walks out of the room where he was confined. The rest of the shields lowered as the Humans left the dark damp cells.
"That's better Capt Salivary, " said Capt said, "My name is Capt Felix Strider"
"Well then Mr. Strider I thing that we will be a great pair" the elite said as he motion for the Capt to walk with him.
"So with this peace treaty... what are we exactly going to do... we can't take it back to the Human race exactly and we could tell you that even if I wanted to..."said Capt Strider
"The same with our home world Mr. Strider and we cannot send the peace treaty to our commanders and generals for we have been exiled for helping a band of our enemies escape" the Capt said as he lowered his head "my crew dreaded that day when they lost there families and brother and sisters, now we just wonder the galaxy for no reason".
The two Capt's wandered the corridors talking aimlessly about how they got exiled from there worlds.
Later that day... the treaty was signed and discussion of a new world was formed as the Humans and Covonate combined what tech they had and started construction on the world we know today as Halo.
Two Hundred and Three Years later...
Location-Halo
Time-0600 hours
The ring world was now finished as the Covonate and Humans celebrated their greatest feat known to Humans or Covonate.
"Congratulations on this great event!" yelled a Covonate elite "when Human and Covonate leaders banned together 253 years ago... and they started this magnificent world where Humans and Covonate could live on".
Cheers rose from the group of Humans and Covonate. People started to run and play games like grav-ball, grav-ball is basketball but the ball bounces extra high because it has not gravity, Covonate played there games and Humans tried to learn while the Covonate tried to learn Human games.
Meanwhile............
"You think it's still alive?" said a Human Scientist as it towered over the mutated body
"I don't think so," said the other scientist.
The body twitched again as the scientists backed away looking weirdly at the mutated yellowish body. The body started to get up as the scientists pulled their defence pistols and shot the thing, but the body kept getting up and then it charged, arms flailing. The scientists ran as fast as they could but the creature was to fast for them... their deaths where not even noticed...
The covonate left their little town and out of five hundred only two hundred came back and they had fifty wounded. The humans watched with stunned eyes, as the Covonate group was almost already extinct... Many of the Humans ran in to help but the Covonate refuses saying that there med kits where to advanced for them even though they have combined tech some of the items of the Humans and Covonate where not shared because they might be to harmful to the other race.
The Capt of the Humans walked to the leading officer of the Covonate noticing that the Covonate leader had died in the skirmish with whatever enemy the Covonate had fought.
The alarm went off on the Comm. C> "this is the crew stationed at the 343 building..."Static filled the speakers of the Comm. "We where hit hard need Evac now!!... I don't know if they told you but the Covonate where here but they got slaughtered!" the radio broke off and there was a long uneasy silence as the covonate looked over at the Human Capt with squinted eyes there enviro suits had holes and slash marks all over them.
There was a great bright light as the ring three hundred kilometres above them went up in a burst of while and blue light engulfing the terrain in its path. Pieces of debris where shot toward other parts of the ring.
"TAKE COVER!" was yelled throughout the camp as debris showered down on the encampment.
The Humans and Covonate ran for cover but lots of Humans and Covonate where lost. The debris shower was over and there we crater's the size of the Mt. St Helens spout. When life started to replenish in the town bodies filled the roads.
Twenty days later...
Marines filled the launch bay that the Covonate salvaged off there ship. A Long Sword fighter was being prepped for launch.
"Why are we doing this commander?" said one of the Marines
"So we can find out what happened to the 343 building," said the Commander calmly "and radiation levels are to high for Humans or Covonate to get to the building safely... We would burn up..."
"Ok Commander..."said the Marine as he gave a crisp salute to the Commander and turned and walked down the corridor.
"Sir!" said and engineer, "Long Sword Fighter ready, sir"
"Good work" said the Commander "get the team ready we are launching at 0600"
"Sir, yes sir" said the engineer as he went off to get the team prepped for launch

Location=Launch bay 1
Military Calendar Sept, 5.2486
The Commander walked to the control tower and sat in a chair waiting. The Comm came on saying "Sir team ready and are on the fighter". "Excellent" said the Commander over the Comm "Tell them they can launch when ready". "Aye sir" and with that the Comm broke off.
There was a slight rumbling as the Fighter rocketed out of the Launch bay. People ran for cover because they didn't want to get thrown around by the strong engines.
"Tower this is Spitfire Come in over?"
"Roger that Spitfire I read you five, five, five"
"................."
"Spitfire you there come in"
"Oh...od...nate...good go... ther..."
"Spitfire COME IN!"
Static filled the radio and the officer at the radio station mentioned that they went off the radar when the transmission cut off. The Commander clenched his fist and walked out of the tower heading for his apartment. When he got to his apartment the Covonate invaded the place they murdered people slaughtering them.
The Commander saw this and started to run. He headed for launch bay two where the other fighter was along with a Pelican drop ship.
Marines where already in the bay preping the drop ship and fighter. Civilians were boarding the Pelican and the Commander got into the fighter and motioned for a co pilot. A marine ran up the ramp of the fighter and the Commander closed the hatch. He quickly sat down along with the Co-pilot and started up the engines.
The fighter came to life and shot out of the Launch bay. But the Commander didn't leave his people behind-not today anyway. He turned the fighter around and opened a deadly wave of 50mm cannons. He launched a missile kept the wave of bullets on the Covonate keeping them pinned down.
The Pelican now came to life its engines already at full power. It blasted out of the Launch bay and went past the fighter. The Commander followed the Pelican and armed one of his Shiva Nukes. He turned around and launched it...
The was a blinding flash of white and blue light as the Shiva detonated on impact with the surface of the ring world and wiping out the Covonate armada on the world.
The Humans left the ring world hoping never to see it again...
